Marching Season
Color guard is divided into two seasons. The first season is called the
"marching season." The reason is because the color guard performs
with the marching band during the fall. There are two types of
marching bands. There are the high schools and then there are the
drum corps for more experienced college age members. Click on the

Winter Guard Season
The other season is called "winter guard." Winter guard also is divided
into two groups. High school for the young members and Independent
guards for college age students. Winter guard season is guard only
and does not perform with the marching band. It is a way for the
color guard to show off what they can do. During the winter guard
season you see some of the most spectacular color guard shows on this
planet! So go see for yourself!
